I am a first-year student at University of California, San Diego studying Computer Engineering. I chose my major because I have been always interested in exploring the boundary between computer hardware and software. Some of the projects I have worked usually involve a combination of these two disciplines. During my internship, I hope to gain experience in product design and learn relevant manufacturing skills to elevate the quality of my future projects.
It is easy for users to find out how much water they should consume in a day (the answer is one Google search away), but it is not so simple to keep track of how much water they consume throughout the day. I teamed up with two other students to develop a more convenient way to track water intake. The result was a smart lid that measures the change in volume of the water bottle to calculate how much water the user has consumed so far in the day. This information is displayed on an OLED embedded on the top of the lid.

A basic remote control car that can be controlled by the user through a pre-made app. I worked on the assembly of the car, building the chassis from pieces of wood that I cut by hand. The four DC motors are powered by three 9V batteries connected in parallel. The car connects to a premade app through Bluetooth that allows the user to control the car.
